Mastering Photoshop takes time, discipline, and a great deal of patience. Many newbies attempt to learn photoshop but end up frustrated and angry because they cannot create what they desire. Most of these newbies look up tutorials on popular websites and find a couple of hints and tips that tell them how to achieve a specific effect.
The problem with this approach is that instead of learning how to reach desired outcomes, the users end up learning how to copy and never truly understand the fundamentals and WHY certain buttons and settings will create something.
Instead of learning how and why, newbie Photoshoppers mindlessly imitate, and when it comes time to make something they want to make from scratch, they won’t even know where to start. That is the problem with random tutorials, they may help you reach an outcome immediately, but in the long-run, are you really learning Photoshop?
In order to completely understand and possess complete freedom in your photoshop learning, it is essential to have a guide that is extensive and comprehensive. With a guide, the photoshop newbie can learn skills from scratch and build on strong fundamentals. Instead of delving into a complicated tutorial immediately upon purchasing photoshop, beginners need to have a solid foundation that teaches them exactly how to use this powerful program.
Beginners, however, are not the only people who can benefit from guides. Many experienced users, strictly using random tutorials, have learned only one side of Photoshop. With a guide, experienced users can experience photoshop in a new light and have true freedom to create anything you want.
Master Photoshop Yourself
These guides, however, are tough to find; and even if you find one how do you know its not some sort of scam? Because of this, We have gathered the best programs available and have reviewed each one to show you the programs you should avoid, and the ones you should definitely consider if you are serious about creating ANYTHING on Photoshop…
1) Learn Photoshop Now – 5/5 –
Quite possibly the best product on the market if you are a visual learner. Learn Photoshop Now offers 2 hours worth of photoshop videos that can truly transform your photoshop experience. I highly advocate Learn Photoshop Now, as they focus on mastering the basics of photoshop, which is VERY important of gaining artistic freedom in photoshop. If you can afford it, I whole-heartedly recommend this program.
2) Photoshop Magic For Newbies– 4/5
An essential video collection for any Photoshop user that is a photographer. PS Magic for Newbies is SPECIFICALLY aimed at Newbie Beginner Photographers; and if you happen to fall under this category, this product is definitely for you. However, if you’re looking for a guide that teaches you almost ALL the fundamentals, I would recommend Learn Photoshop Now. If you are a struggling Digital Photographer- look no further, this is the guide for you.
3) Photoshop in a Day– 3.5/5
If you are unlike me, meaning your not a video learner, you might want some sort of solid reading that teaches you the basics of photoshop. If this is the case for you, Photoshop in a Day’s Tutorial Manual is just the thing for you. PS in a day is a clear, simple, and image-based guide to Photoshop. The reason I rated it 3.5 is that I always have preferred visual learning, but if you prefer a non-video guide, Photoshop in a Day will likely fit the bill.
