The rolling hills around Nosara are peppered with hidden treasures like the Costa Rica Yoga Spa, the location of our next Yoga & Zumba retreat on April 28 through May 4, 2012, and the Tropical Revival Yoga Retreat in March 2012. This resort is only a couple of years old and has already established itself as a quality location for Yoga, surfing and wellness retreats
I had a chance to visit Costa Rica Yoga Spa during a recent trip to Nosara with my family. My son Roman and I went to visit the resort, hoping to discover a new location for several of our upcoming retreats. Nosara is a lovely beach community and the area where Yoga finds it’s roots in Costa Rica.
There is something special about its calming, tranquil energy that we wanted to share with our guests. Boy, did we find a gem in the jungle! The owner Jill welcomed us at the foot of the hill where the resort is situated, and we piled into an ATV that took us up the hill.
The beautiful Arenal Volcano National Park, #CostaRica is indeed a sight to behold. Visit La Fortuna, a tiny town near the base of the volcano & you will not regret the sheer beauty. Also check out the marvelous hot springs, a tropical paradise where you can relax both your mind. pic.twitter.com/rW9ZiG7tkq

This eco-friendly resort consists of two wooden lodges, kitchen and dining area, Yoga pavilion, plunge pool, and Jacuzzi, with beautiful gardens of herbs and indigenous plants around the compound.
Guest rooms in both lodges have been consciously decorated in soothing color tones and adorned with local art. The bottom floor consists of the standard quad rooms and spacious shared bathrooms, with hammocks around the building for relaxing while enjoying the view of the Pacific.
The top floor houses triple, double, and single suites with private bathrooms and balconies. The resort is part of a larger ranch that covers many acres, which offers guests ample space to take walks and explore. The property has an impressive organic garden and abundant fruit trees throughout.
Most flavorful fruits
When you’re here, expect some of the freshest mangos, papayas, and bananas that you’ve ever had. There’s just something about the flavor of fruit right off the tree. And while we’re on the topic of food, the cooking here is something you are not likely to forget about.
Meals are prepared primarily of organic produce grown on the ranch as well as fresh ingredients acquired from farmers in the community, infusing rich flavors into every dish. The kitchen offers an impressive variety of healthy meals and freshly squeezed juices that will tantalize your taste buds while nourishing your body.
Nestled on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the resort offers views that will completely take your breath away. Magnificent sunsets are visible from the dining area, lodges, Yoga pavilion, and the pool. The property also offers walking paths and a magical meditation labyrinth.
And if you’re looking to take a longer stroll, you can easily walk down the hill to the main road, which winds between farms and the jungle, over a few small rivers toward the Ostional turtle beach and nature preserve. We have chosen Costa Rica Yoga Spa for several of our 2012 retreats and believe our guests will adore their stay there.
I cannot wait to experience once again the beauty of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean poolside after an energizing afternoon Yoga practice. The location will truly allow for a deepened sense of awareness and complete relaxation while immersing you in the jungle of Costa Rica. Here are some tips for the rainy season in Costa Rica.
