Make a paste out of tomatoes and smoothing on your face. Let it stay on your face for about 15 to 20 minutes and then wash off. Cucumber and mud packs are another treatment that is natural and are very cooling and comforting to that burning feeling that is sometimes connected with Rosacea.
There has been some speculation that sometimes Rosacea is brought on by a fungus or yeast infection that causes an allergic reaction to the skin. If perhaps this was the case, an antifungal cream, would clear up the condition. This may not work, but it’s worth a shot!
Here is another method to try and just see if it works. Wash your face and make sure it’s very clean, and rinse well. Then, apply a good astringent solution. Do this daily and see if you have any positive results. But, just give it a little time before you throw in the towel!
This to me would be your absolute last resort. But, it’s your body and you have the right to do whatever you feel necessary to take care of it. If you decide to go down this road, there are many factors to take into consideration before you do. There are several different types of laser treatments available and all should be researched very carefully before deciding on which one to choose. It seems that many patients that have had laser treatments done on them for Rosacea have had some very positive results, but that’s not to say it will completely clear it up. Some may just experience some mild to moderate positive results. Not all people will see results and some may actually have their condition worsen. Most of the time, your insurance will not cover laser treatments for Rosacea. Check with your dermatologist to see if you are a good candidate and weigh your options first. The main thing to remember is to do proper research!
