Contrary to popular opinion, exercise is NOT the most important factor in getting great abs. I’m sure there are a lot of you out there who are greatly disagreeing right now. But in my opinion, you can exercise until you are blue in the face, but still have a flabby gut. I should know! I spent years at it. Yes there are certainly some exercises that are better than others. And timing of exercise is important. But it’s not how to get a six pack fast!

This is my uncensored story of how I changed my stomach from a flabby sack to ripped abs of steel! (Yes I know I’m boasting but I can’t help it!) Before I looked like I do now, I used to be the chubby, quiet one at school. I didn’t go out on any dates. I didn’t go to the prom, and I never had a girlfriend. After I left school things didn’t get any easier. I couldn’t speak to women and I had no social life. Every time I looked in the mirror all I saw was this white flabby stomach. So what happened to change my life? I got FED UP. I just couldn’t take it anymore and I knew I had to do something about it. So I began my mission learning how to get a six-pack fast.
The first thing I tried was hitting the gym hard.
When I look back now, I was doing everything wrong. Basically I was doing all the wrong abdominal exercises. I was doing too many reps. I wasn’t taking enough rest days. And pretty soon I was exhausted and despondent.
The next thing I tried was those muscle building supplements: super pump, monster mass, creatinine powder etc. Let me tell you they are not cheap! They don’t taste that great, and the results were less than spectacular.
After several months I had also tried all the major diets. I’ve been on the Atkins, the Low Glycaemic, and the Zone Diet. If you’ve ever been on any of these you’ll know what I mean when I say they leave you feeling “depressed” about eating.

How do you write goals?
Take some time and think about how you’re going to look, feel, and be when you are at your destination. This is how I got my six pack. Get yourself a photo of your dream abs, a celebrity or bodybuilder who has the ripped abs that you want. Stick it on your mirror. Now write yourself a goal such as: “I want to have abs of steel by xx date”, or “I want this exact body in 6 months time”. All I know is that once I wrote my goals down, my new body really started to materialize. This is really the secret sauce to how to get a six pack.
Once you’ve got the goals you’ll probably be wondering what path to take.
You can go it alone or get help. I recommend getting help. There are several types of help. You could get a personal trainer. They can certainly give their opinion on how to get a six-pack. This is good if you have the money. Unfortunately, I never had the money so I never had a trainer. The good news is – you don’t need one.
I did get some help, however.
I bought some fast abs products so I could take shortcuts and learn from others who’d already been down the path that I was going on. Not all of the products showed me how to get a six-pack. One of the products I’d like to warn you about right now, however, are the acai weight loss products. These are definitely not how to get a six pack. My advice is to stay clear of these. The reason is that they really upset my stomach, but worse they really upset my credit card. What they don’t tell you in the fine print is that they’re signing you up for other “memberships” that you don’t ask for. And then when you get that $150 monthly credit card bill it takes 2-3 months to cancel it!
